I had a conversation recently with a potential customer that stuck with me.
She had looked at other painters in Northern Utah before reaching out to us. The thing that stood out to her — the thing she specifically mentioned — was that our reviews talk about our professionalism. Not just the quality of the work. Our professionalism.
That means something to me.
Professionalism Doesn’t Happen by Accident
In the home services industry, professionalism isn’t something you stumble into. It happens because you’re purposeful. You show up on time, you do what you say you’re going to do, and you communicate. Those aren’t extraordinary things (they shouldn’t be) but in this industry, they’re not as common as they should be. And customers notice when they’re missing.
We Only Hire Professional Painters
At HQ Painting, we only use professional painters. Not handymen who also happen to paint. Not people who install carpeting one day and pick up a brush the next. Our painters paint — that’s their craft, not a side gig — and because of that, they take their work seriously.
Low Turnover Builds a Better Team
A lot of our painters have been with us for years, and that matters more than people realize. When you have a team that sticks around, you’re not constantly training new people and hoping they get it right. You build a culture. You build standards. And those standards hold because the people carrying them aren’t going anywhere.
Our Reputation Is Everything
Our painters know we have a brand to protect. They know our company is flourishing, and they understand that our reputation is what makes that possible. We’ve been intentional about instilling that in them — that our reputation, our brand, and making the customer happy aren’t just talking points. They’re what actually matter to us.
