The 3 Most Important Rooms to Repaint Before Selling Your Home
Hey everybody! Olga here with HQ Painting.
I’m out in Eagle Mountain this morning providing a few estimates. I just finished one for a homeowner who is getting ready to sell their home. They are working with a great realtor and need a quick paint refresh to ensure the house shows beautifully in listing photos and during open houses.

This family has little ones, and you can tell they’ve really enjoyed their townhome! To get it market-ready, I recommended that they consider interior painting in all the main areas. Specifically, we’re looking at:
- The open kitchen and living room area
- The hallways and stairways
- The primary suite (master bedroom)
The reason for this is actually very strategic. My friends in real estate tell me that these specific rooms are exactly what homebuyers focus on. Buyers look for a welcoming main living area, they notice the condition of the hallways as they walk through the home, and finally, they want to see a pristine primary suite.
If you are getting ready to sell—or even just thinking about it—these are the key areas you should consider retouching or repainting. Freshening up these spaces is the best way to ensure an amazing open house and a successful selling experience!
